His breath catches in his throat when he pulls out the cuff links. They are wonderful. He slips them into place immediately and admires them in the mirror.
Then he reads the note. Heat rushes into his face. He really can't wait to see the rest of his gift now. And... he feels really good knowing his support has meant so much to her. The feeling is mutual.
A little later he sends her a text with a picture of him wearing the cuff links.
