[At least on her and Ren's part, she feels that "accidental" would much more be an oops, no, I didn't mean to drop that ugly mug aunt Flo gave us for our wedding, look now it's broken and we need to toss it, oh noooooooooooo.... But, point being. If they want to start an open conflict, it would not be accidental. They can keep themselves in check and avoid the leeches.
If a conflict went out in the open, there would be a reason (like a mate getting bothered) and a plan... or something like that.]
