He did not say as much, but he appreciated the assurance. He was big in every regard, and while he did not worry overmuch that Max could take him in fully - he did worry for his own strength and lack of restraint once things became more heated. Like now, all he wanted to do was bite and tear and scratch; that instinct to slam hard into Max as he buried himself in him growing stronger by the second.
