He guesses by that pressure what they intend, and readies his muscles for the jolt. When Rowan jumps up, he expertly catches them with his hands on their rump. It's barely a challenge to keep them held there against him, and it's such a pleasure to have Rowan face to face with him without having to lean down. He almost doesn't want to let them pull away enough to speak.
"Yeah well," he tries to mimic their tone of endearing admonishment. "You're cute." He punctuates that with a kiss to the tip of their nose.
"And you are very welcome."
His expressions turns more serious now. "I know we haven't talked a lot, explicitly, about your general life experience but... I'm sure some things can't be easy. And well... people can be real motherfuckers about it where I'm from. I just really want you to know I care about you so much. And I'm damn grateful I met you."
