Suddenly they're up and putting an arm under him for support, which is nice, but maybe not as absolutely necessary as he made it sound.
"Yeah, yeah," Max rushes to assure them. "No, it's fine. I'll be fine."
Now, he's trying not to laugh because the concern is really touching and it's mostly himself he's laughing at for being so dramatic.
"I just mean, you really did a number on me. I'll be okay though, really. I promise!"
