Avoiding Lucas was never an option. Not after what had gone on that third day. Their conversation still hung heavy in his heart. Right next to the one he'd had with Jackie. It gave him a lot to think about. Lucas' companionable presence had been a comfort= through all of that.
But, every day that passed, he became a little more anxious. Neither of them had done much in the way of flirting. They both needed time to process it. But Max couldn't help feeling that time is running short. Soon, Lucas will want his company in the way they've both become accustomed to. But there's just one problem...

If Max gives Lucas what he wants, he'll have to tell-all about it later. If he doesn't... Lucas will want to know why. Max doesn't think he can lie to Lucas. No, he knows he can't.
"No, I'm not busy. You can come in," Max says, tossing aside the box of cards Jackie had printed for him. He's not ready yet. Is he? To start handing them out. He doesn't know.
Max tries to keep his voice casual, but it's a bit strained when he sees Lucas there in nothing but his shorts and those tags, "What's up?"
