Closing their eyes as Max curls in closer, Rowan wishes once again that they could stay like this. But the desire to be able to touch Max again is also building, so even though they let out a soft gasp as he pulls out, they don't say anything.
Without his weight on their back, though, there's nothing to stop them from sinking to their knees, likewise using their grip on the wall to control the fall. Then they shift over to slide into Max's lap, legs off to one side and their side against his chest. There, they can finally claim a long, sweet kiss, one hand resting over his heart and the other on his cheek.
"You're hot enough I wouldn't notice if it weren't." Rowan chuckles when they finally break it, nuzzling into his cheek. "That was something else, Max."
