[From Jackie, Max will find nothing but a card, slipped through the letter box of his cafe.
It's one of the business-card like cards with a blank back that Jackie has ordered to advertise with around town once they actually open their business. On the back, it reads:]
[Max picks up the card and carries it with him into his brand new office at the back of the cafe. He sits down with it, contemplating what it might mean.
Max only has one body modification. The brand. Jackie is offering to remove it. Remove the symbol of his old Master's claim over Max. The significance of that does not escape Max's notice. Would Jackie seek to replace it with their own? No... that's assuming too much.
Max told Chell, not too long ago, that he hadn't sought to remove the brand yet because it didn't feel right. He's still not sure it does. So, for now, Max will tuck the card into his wallet and leave it there. He needs some time to think about it.]
