He gently took her to the couch and draped a throw blanket around her shoulders. Then, he got down on a knee so he could look into her face, hands still gripping the blanket around her, while he spoke from the bottom of his heart.
"No. I don't think that at all. And I don't think missing someone you care so deeply about makes you weak. You shouldn't have to bear this kind of worry and sadness alone either. I'm glad you came."
That was really nice. Like being wrapped up in a cozy little cocoon. Comforting and comfortable and safe. Keyleth tucked her legs up and burrowed in, leaning in to press her forehead lightly to Max's. "I'm glad I came too," she said quietly, managing a tiny smile. "Thanks. I feel weak. I guess I just needed to be reminded that was stupid."
