"I do," Max answers, absolutely glowing with pride. "But, yeah, I plan to spoil each of them a little bit. I don't want to go too overboard, though. I've always thought something small and sincere is better, something meaningful to the person I'm with, you know?"
But, guess what? The questions go both ways. "What about you? Got a sweetheart you need some special treats for? I'm having a sale."
Capochin nods approvingly. "Little acts of regular dedication beat out grandiose displays of affection any ol' day, if you ask me. 'Specially if it's real poisonal," he agrees.
However, then the question is returned. Well, well. If it isn't his old enemy. Consequences. Capochin flusters immediately, coughing. "W-well, I sorta--- Honestly, I, uh. Sorta? It's complicated, but--- Yeah, I'll probably get 'im somethin'. He, ah..." Capochin cracks a sheepish smile. "He really likes sweets."
Max nods in fervent agreement. He can't risk agreeing verbally because the way Capochin says the word personal is about to put him into stitches.
Good thing Capochin's fluster works as a cover, so he can get himself under control before he actually has to talk. "Oh yeah~?"
Max leans down closer, grinning like a love-sick fool. Ships are his favorite, so don't mind him jumping to the end of the line with this next one. "If that's the case, then maybe when the time comes to ask the Big Question, you can give me a head's up and I'll make a special cake for the occasion."
